  1. My money is on all the shots of Paul and Jessica with blue eyes, and them fighting the Barons people towards the end, is going to be what Paul sees when he takes the water of life. He’ll take it, and we will see all of that, and that’s the end of part 1.

  2. everything looks great till that weird battlesuit opening up the helmet, that part just screams bad CGI

  3. Fincher's version failed. They waited for decades to make this right. Please don't fail. This CAN be the next Star Wars.

  4. i hope they stay truer to the source material than the old movie. not that the old movie was bad, but alot of the source material was scrapped from it.

  5. I've been pretty jaded about the film industry in recent years. What I can say about this trailer is, I don't hate it. That's something at least.

  6. Looks impressive, but I'm already noticing discrepancies between Frank Herbert's novel and what's presented here. They may or may not be trivial, but one of my pet peeves is straying too far from the original narrative for the sake of spectacle (i.e. The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit). At no point in the story did Paul Atriedes wear a golden suit of armor on Arrakis. He always wore a gray stillsuit like the Fremen. I don't know what that's about. I'm pretty sure he also never told Duncan Idaho about Chani. Baron Vladimir Harkonnen didn't float up in the air, he "bobbed on his toes". And the biggest peeve of all, one they can never seem to get right in the film adaptations, ornithopters had wings like a bird, not an insect. (Ornithopter literally means "small aircraft with bird wings". Hopefully, they have good justification for these changes, other than "it looks cooler".

  7. I will have to read the book for the nth time. I am finding hard to match what's on the trailer with what happens in the book. But this movie looks good. I hope is not woke.

  8. I'll be the one to say it: some line delivery felt flat, and the CGI Paul at the end needs some work.

Otherwise I couldn't be more excited!
