The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – Trailer (English)

This series will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada.

Discover the legend that forged the rings. September 2 on Prime Video. #TheRingsOfPower

Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

  1. Galadriel in her mech suit yelling "Get away from her you bitch" made my spine tingle. Truly one of the shows of all time

  2. Do you know why in the series cover the palantirs? if not then I will tell you. Because they steal Jackson's Lord of the Ring and they knows nothing about the palantyrs. It's ridiculous to cover up the palantyrs when the Numenoreans still had all the seer stones.

  3. Loved the part when Ronald Mcdonald descended from the heavens and proceeded to give everyone big macs and french fries, such an inspiring moment. I honestly don't know why that's relevant to Tolkien's Middle Earth but, I'm sure he would be proud of what Amazon has accomplished.

  4. "The canons of narrative art in any medium cannot be wholly different; and the failure of poor films is often precisely in exaggeration, and in the intrusion of unwarranted matter owing to not perceiving where the core of the original lies." – Professor J.R.R.Tolkien

  5. They were all deceived. In the land of the amazon, the dark lord Bezos has secretly forged his series by taking on a beautiful shell to control people. And into this performance, he poured his greed, envy and hatred in order to continue to dominate the minds of content consumers. One show to rule them all, but there were those who resisted. The last alliance of book readers and fans of Peter Jackson stood against the armies of Bezos and on the slopes of the mountain of money, fought for the survival of their beloved story. P.S Sorry for my english, it's not my native language)))

  6. I loved the part where Sauron proposed to Galadiera giving her the one ring. That was sooooooo romantic!!!

  7. Goosebumps when Elrond said to Durin the Fourth:“Wait A Minute, Doc. Are You Telling Me You Built A Time Machine…Out Of A DeLorean?”…masterpiece…

  8. Зло не может создать ничего нового, оно может лишь искажать и разрушать то, что изобрели и создали силы добра.

  9. I loved it when warrior Galadriel said "I shall have my vengeance, in this life or the next" to Sauron before thrusting her elven sword in his chest. Chills!

  10. Amazon – I'm very happy that it's the most expensive tv series ever… I'm even more happy that you're going to lose all of that money.. Because you deserve it.. Because it has nothing to go with lotr…

  11. I don’t get why these corporations want to destroy things that are good ! They’d make a lot more money by being true to the lore and we’d be happy too. 200k dislikes , proves me right. It’s not too late to scrap this and start over. They’d make their money back too. If this releases it would definitely damage both prime, streaming services and most definitely the series. But I suspect they just want to kill the past and replace it with racism.

  12. The part where the father of Aragorn says "show must go on" was truly impressive! Can't wait for the series to start!

  13. Ok, lets make a prediction and lets see how it goes when the show releases*

The main male characters are going to be:

    1) incompetent idiots with no agency. At all.
    2) Weak and/or insecure, always needing validation from the female protagonists, and always needing to be told what to do.
    3) Nothing but punching bags or support characters (who are always wrong) for the much better, smarter and stronger female characters.
    4) The bad guys.
    5) All of the above.

*If you saw the SW sequels, modern Star Trek, modern Dr. Who, Terminator Dark Fate, Kevin Smith's Masters of the Universe, the new Marvel shows/movies or the Wheel of Time, you cannot play… because you already know the answer.

  14. Galadriel looking like a gender swapped Griffith from Berserk; black elves; hideous nonsensincal wars; horrifying love stories; and at last, rewritten lack of respect lore from this fantasy novel!!!! Red flag all over this mess – thanks Amazon prime for destroying a universal book.

  15. I will never forget when Sam turned to Frodo and saw his malicious gaze while he said “I am VENGEANCE”… Best of J R R T

  16. That part when Sauron bends down to hand the ring golem saying “help me slim shady you’re my only hope” 👏 👏 👏 masterful.

  17. What's with all the "when this and this happened, I cried" comments? I know they are mocking the Wakanda Forever comments, but why here, in particular, and not on that trailer's comments?

  18. When Gandalf appears and shouts Avada Kidavra and resurrects the Soviet Army led by Stalin and all the crowd go to the Amazon where the bald Golum..oh sorry Bezzos strokes the ring for half a billion dollars. I sobbed out loud.
