The Woman King is the remarkable story of the Agojie, the all-female unit of warriors who protected the African Kingdom of Dahomey in the 1800s with skills and a fierceness unlike anything the world has ever seen. Inspired by true events, The Woman King follows the emotionally epic journey of General Nanisca (Oscar®-winner Viola Davis) as she trains the next generation of recruits and readies them for battle against an enemy determined to destroy their way of life. 1. I'm wondering if the people who're talking about if the move are gonna talk about the slave aspects of that culture, if they had the same energy when 300 did their thing. You know the warrior civilization that built its foundation on slave labor fighting against an entity that wanted to enslave them. I get where a lot of people are coming from but I doubt this is gonna be historically accurate and focus more on badass women doing badass things.

  2. I hope the woman warriors kill the the baddy whites by jumping up and doing that leg wrap around the head flip thing. That would be so cool and I'm pretty sure that probably happened in real life too. Also please make it in slow motion. Black widow did that to all those special forces guys who had guns and outweighed her by 150lbs. So it can be done.

  3. I just looked up tha Dahomey after everyone in the comments said that they were responsible for the slave trade. I looked it up and apparently it was true. The worst part is that this looks really good. I just wish they made a movie with a fictional tribe instead of using the Dahomey and saying it was based on true events so that way we can enjoy the film

  4. Weird how when the movie is about Vikings there’s never this many historians in the comment section. If it upsets you that Europeans are the bad guys in this movie then just don’t watch it.

  5. They're really shoving this woke message down our throats huh? we won't do anything about it.. don't wanna be called racist of course

  6. The woman king………🤨

    Really?….Really.😬

I feel a disturbance in the force. It is as if thousands of face palms happened. Some at once, others trailed off. And then there was dumbfounded silence.

  7. Making a movie about the Kingdom that enslaved millions of Africans and sold them to Europeans, they also practiced slavery themselvs and human sacrifice, clearly they are the misunderstood heros of history.

  8. This movie is just proof that the feminist movement and gender confusion agenda is strong at work. They're trying to corrupt all the youngins. Everyday there's more boys and girls that want to identify opposite to what they really are.
It's not normal and it's against the laws of God whether you like it or not. Just remember that there's a penalty to be paid for going against. If you look up their actual history these women specialized on pre-dawn surprised attacks. That's the only way they were able to win battles. Go look up their hand to hand battles, results don't lie, there's one specific battle were 1500 women took the field in hand to hand combat against french men and only 50 remain! Worst of all I think all these women were getting pimped by the king. They were considered wives of the King.

  9. YEAH OK. Another desperate attempt to out do the sexes and centuries worth of Historical Status based on Gender. But then again I step outside in the real world and there are now more male-QUEENS than I've ever seen before in 20 years. SOCIETY IS SO FUCKED UP NOW. All we need is a movie like this to throw a monkey wrench to how the world is currently spinning.

  10. YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! 11. "The slave trade has been the ruling principle of my people. It is the source of their glory and wealth. Their songs celebrate their victories and the mother lulls the child to sleep with notes of triumph over an enemy reduced to slavery."
-King Ghezo. King of Dahomey when the British told him to end the slave trade

  12. We are so out of order. This was out of order back then. It’s out of order now. I can be a strong woman without acting like a man. God made me a woman, with certain gifts and strengths, and a GOD (YHWH)-ordained role in my home. And it’s not this. Feminism lied to us. Has us confused and our families weaker than ever.
